René Dekkers
This young and talented producer lives in the southern part of the Netherlands and started making electronic music at the age of 13. The D-dr!ve formula took root back in 1997 when a impulsively purchased synth was combined with the good old Atari computer. After 6 years of isolation and experimenting a first track was released in the year 2003. His main musical objective is to deliver refreshing and open-minded music that touches his listeners. Influenced by the more grimy type of techno, d’n’b and hip-hop he created a own style of hardcore that got picked by Cardiac in July 2003.
D-dr!ve mainly releases his music on Bionic Recordings, but he also joined the gathering of styles 2 release on the Enzyme label. Recently the formula, characterized by original rap vocals and very technical arrangements, was expanded with a hard-techno release on the Protocast label.
