Tapage started his music career playing guitar in a hiphop / metal / crossover band. This band lasted for about one gig so he decided to take matters into his own hands. Tapage had already been using tracker programs to produce beats but soon the electronics started to play a much more important role. Inspired by IDM and breakcore alongside postrock and avantgarde composers, Tapage started to create a sound in which complicated harsh rythms can coexist with dreamlike atmospheres.
In 2005 Tapage was asked to join the Meta4 crew and soon after that the first issue appeared containing the track 'Flowerbed Deathbed'. Two months later he teamed up with Ophidian to produce the first record in the Kapitalism serie. The 'Phataa Diin God e.p.' contained the track 'The Mine' which made a huge impact on the underground hardcore scene. With his remix on the Voidsector V.I.P. Tapage expands his sound and makes clear that he's not a one trick pony.
This spring Tapage and Meander launched the 'Hydromedusa e.p.' on the even more experimental meta0 label. The IDM and breakcore influences are more evident than ever before and this record shows what Tapage wants his music to sound like...
